The origin of Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia) is Southeast Asia it is also very common in southern Italy. Bergamot is an evergreen citrus tree with a height of two to ten meters.The branches are with long, sharp spines. The plant has leathery, ovate-oblong or elliptic leaves, pointed, green and shiny above; below they are lighter, slightly jagged and wavy. Bergamot fruit is spherical or pear-shaped, with a thick three-layer shell and in the context is similar to an orange. Citrus Bergamia blooms in March - April. The fruits ripen in November - December.
